I Spent 3.5 Million Won on Ultherapy and XERF in Seoul
In early 2026, I had two lifting treatments in Seoul. Both on the same day. I paid about 3.5 million won.
It worked. But I wouldn’t do it that way again.

What I got
Ultherapy PRIME, 300 shots. XERF, 600 shots.
They use different types of energy. Ultherapy uses focused ultrasound at several tissue depths, including the SMAS layer. XERF uses two radiofrequencies to deliver heat across different depths.
If you know Thermage, XERF belongs to the same broad category of monopolar radiofrequency treatments, although it is not the same device.
Because the treatments work differently, clinics in Seoul often recommend combining them.
The listed price was 3.1 million won before VAT. My final payment came to about 3.5 million won—roughly US$2,500 at the exchange rate at the time.
Cosmetic procedures in Korea are subject to 10% VAT, so check whether the price you see already includes it.
Why I did both in one day
The clinic recommended doing both treatments together. They explained that because Ultherapy and XERF use different types of energy and reach different tissue depths, combining them could produce a better overall result.
I can’t compare the combination with doing either treatment alone. But I was happy with what I saw.
What I wasn’t prepared for was how exhausting it would be to complete both treatments back-to-back.
It hurt
The clinic applied numbing cream before we started. It still hurt.
The pain wasn’t unbearable. I sat through it without asking them to stop. But the appointment was long, and by the end I was counting down every pulse.
The problem for me wasn’t either treatment on its own. It was doing 300 shots of Ultherapy and then immediately continuing with 600 shots of XERF.
If you’re considering the same combination, I wouldn’t think only about whether you can handle the pain. I’d also think about how much treatment you want to sit through in a single appointment.
One week later
I noticed the change sooner than I expected.
About a week after the treatment, my face already looked firmer and more lifted. My skin texture looked smoother, and my complexion appeared brighter and more even.
I don’t know how much of the result came from Ultherapy and how much came from XERF. But the combination clearly did something for me.

Five or six months later
The smoother texture and brighter complexion have gradually faded. Those effects didn’t disappear overnight, but they became less noticeable over time.
The firmness has lasted longer.
Five or six months later, my face still feels tighter and more lifted than it did before the treatment. That is the result I notice most now.
Would I do it again?
Yes—but not in the same way.
Next time, I would either schedule the treatments on separate days or choose fewer shots in a single appointment.
I think the treatments were worth what I paid. Doing both in one afternoon was my choice, and that’s the one part I would change.
If my budget allowed, I’d do both again.
Just not on the same day.
